What you need to know about home off-grid photovoltaic systems

The home off-grid photovoltaic power generation system is mainly composed of solar panels, solar inverters, solar controllers, and lithium batteries or gel batteries.

The construction sequence is: foundation and power distribution room construction – bracket installation – solar panel square array installation and commissioning – electrical instrumentation equipment installation and commissioning – operation and commissioning – trial operation – completion acceptance.

Precautions for installation and debugging:

1. The system should be installed by qualified personnel. The system involves electrical energy and can be dangerous to members not familiar with qualified safety procedures.

2. Do not soak the photovoltaic modules in water or expose them to sprinklers or fountains continuously.

3. When selecting a site, avoid choosing trees, buildings or places that will block the shadow of solar modules especially in winter. Photovoltaic module installations should be fixed to a permanent framework, and should be inclined to the best condition of winter performance.

4. Photovoltaic modules connected in series should be installed in the same direction and angle. Installations in different directions and angles will cause energy loss due to differences in sunlight radiation.

5. It is strictly forbidden to short circuit the positive and negative poles.

6. The joint needs to be tightened without gap, otherwise the gap will cause sparks.

7. Whether the fastening part of the installation structure is loose, it must be tightened.

8. Frequently use a soft cloth to remove dust and dirt on the surface of the photovoltaic module to prevent the loss of output power due to the blocked surface of the module. Always check whether the surface of the component is blocked by objects.

9. Be careful not to touch the exposed parts of the wires or connectors, and if necessary, wear insulating devices (such as tools, gloves, etc.).

10. When installing and maintaining the product, be sure to cover the surface of the component with cloth or other opaque materials, because the high voltage generated by the component under sunlight is dangerous.

11. The system cannot be placed in salt corrosion, vulcanization, and humid areas.
