Jedes Batterieverwaltungssystem umfasst: l Modul-Batterieverwaltungseinheit (BMU) l Rack-Batterieverwaltungssteuerungssystem (BCU) l BMS auf Systemebene (BAMS) Die BMU dient zur Erkennung von Spannung und Temperatur sowie zur Ausf\u00fchrung von Zellausgleichsfunktionen f\u00fcr Zellen. Die BCU kann alle Modul-BMS-Einheiten verwalten und erkennt die Gesamtspannung und den Gesamtstrom und f\u00fchrt Schutzfunktionen durch Schalten von Gleichstromsch\u00fctzen aus. Ein BMS auf Systemebene (BAMS) schlie\u00dflich verwaltet Rack-BMS-Einheiten und kommuniziert mit PCS oder EMS.
